The Role
Based in Cairo, Egypt. We operate with flexibility today and plan to transition to a hybrid model once Ledgers Egypt is fully set up (target: Jan 2027).
You will work closely with the CTO to set up and maintain production-grade infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and security practices.
You will help standardize environments and introduce simple, effective automation so engineering stays focused on product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for predictable releases
- Own cloud infrastructure, environments, secrets, and access control
- Set up observability including logs, metrics, and alerts
- Improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across services
- Support containerization and deployment workflows
- Implement pragmatic security practices including least privilege and auditing
Requirements
- 2+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure-focused engineering
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
- Experience with cloud platforms and networking fundamentals
- Comfortable with Linux, Docker, and deployment pipelines
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to create simple, scalable processes
Nice to Have
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Pulumi
- Kubernetes experience
- Experience supporting data-heavy products or dashboards
